Intro to Robotics

Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation and application of robots and computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. . These technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans, in hazardous or manufacturing processes, or simply just resemble humans.

Robotics challenges students in activities using today’s technologies. It is an excellent tool to teach systematic problem solving and design strategies. It introduces students to the concept of systems and system analysis.

It integrates math, science, technology, and communications standards into one class. Robotics Education gives students opportunities to develop the following work related competencies

The science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields are collectively considered the core technological underpinnings of an advanced society. Robotics resources help students to inculcate the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive advancements in science and technology.


Students can explore problems and invent their own solutions. They can behave as young scientists and technical investigators, making their own discoveries all the way.

Global Aero-Sports has a unique Robotics and Internet-of-Things curriculum, based on the ARDUINO UNO platform, that introduces to children, concepts pertaining to

The experiments start with very simple lessons introducing the terminology and basic electronic components and their working. The lessons then progress towards interfacing the different components using the Arduino UNO and its IDE. The experiments are designed in such a manner that the child has a holistic understanding of the system and is able to sequentially complete the tasks necessary to make the project work. The final set of experiments involve the construction of fairly complex robotic systems like Line Following Robots, Obstacle Avoiding Robots and Robotic Arm.
